Radix Wire DuraFlex High Temperature Cable 450C and 550C 300V and 600V
This is a nickel-plated copper wire meant to be used in environments that exhibit high temperature or extreme low temperatures. Nickel plating is used in copper wire product because of its great corrosion resistance, its stability and it’s durability at extreme temperatures. A 27 percent nickel-plated copper provides excellent levels of performance and gives temperature protection that can go up to 750 degrees Celsius.
Applications
• Wide range of applications ranging from military, aerospace, to industrial and heating products.
• The cable may be used to wire environments that encounter high temperature reaching 750 degrees Celsius such as in industrial heating processes. It may be used in heat-treating furnaces, glass and ceramic kilns, aluminum processing equipment, foundries, commercial food service, and in band heaters. The wire can be used in boiler and steam generators.
Insulation
• Mica glass composite
• This cable is insulated with a mica glass composite material. Mica as unique thermal and electrical properties. It has excellent mechanical properties that allow it to be cut, stamped, and punched or machined to close tolerances. When used as an insulator, it offers flexibility and resistance to chemical attack and heat.
Jacketing-Outer covering
• Fiberglass braid with high temperature finish
• A braided fiberglass material is used jacket for the wire. This jacket is treated with high temperature finish. Fiberglass is one of the commonly used insulation and jacketing material. Fiberglass is highly resistance to chemical and moisture and these properties further enhance the protection of the cable.

• Passes UL 2X mandrel test after heat aging (UL 5128/5107 is 3X mandrel)
• Modified silicone jacket virtually eliminates dermatitis problems associated with handling fiberglass and braid fray (Duraflex 550)
• 550°C temperature rating allows wire to be installed in extreme environments and reduces the cost of added thermal protection (glass sleeve, ceramic insulator, etc). (Duraflex 550)
• Excellent cutting and stripping characteristics, making it ideal for high volume manufacturing and assembly
• Provides dimensional consistency and uniformity
• Resists braid pushback
• Withstands mechanical abuse.

Our policy lasts for thirty days. Unfortunately, if the 30 days have elapsed from the date you purchased the item, we cannot offer you a return or exchange.
In order to be eligible for a return your product must be unopened and in the same condition as you received it in. It should also be in its original packaging.
